School Life

Rowland Hall is a warm and welcoming place where students want to be, teachers want to teach, and everyone wants to learn.

Beginning School

Pre-K — Kindergarten

Walk around the Beginning School and you will see happy children fully engaged in the moment, in their learning.

Lower School

First — Fifth Grades

Lower School students are busy and inspired, expanding their horizons through writing, critical thinking, exploration, and experimentation.

Middle School

Sixth — Eighth Grades

Students navigating through the early teen years develop best in a school with teachers who appreciate the unique delights – and challenges – of that age group, savvy mentors with a sense of humor.

Upper School

Ninth — Twelfth Grades

Examples of excellence abound in the Upper School—in academics, athletics, music, dance, debate, and the college selection process.

Rowmark Ski Academy

A world famous ski program equipping competitive young athletes for all conditions.

Summer Programs

We have two summer programs to keep those “downtime” months interesting and manageable—SummerWorks, an engaging daycamp for children 4PreK through 12 with a CIT program for 13-year olds and SummerRock, a series of mini-courses for tweens and sports camps for second through twelfth graders.
